Double Apple, IGET Bar 3500 Puffs
Shisha bars are the reference point for Double Apple, not the fruit bowl. The recipe layers a sweet red apple over a crisper green one, and the traditional version of this flavour carries an aniseed edge underneath that gives it a slightly liquorice character on the exhale. That undertone is the whole reason the flavour has lasted decades.
It appeals most to people who already know it from a hookah lounge and want the same thing in a pocket sized format. As a change from berries and tropicals it is refreshingly different.
You get 3,500 puffs from the IGET Bar 3500, and it is priced at $32.
The aniseed is not universally loved. If liquorice is a flavour you actively avoid, the double apple tradition will not win you over, and there is no cooling or extra sweetness in the recipe to mask it. Newcomers are usually better off with a straightforward fruit first.
Do not expect fresh apple juice from this. The tradition it borrows from is aromatic and deliberately a little medicinal, and the recipe follows that convention rather than chasing realism.
Judged on its own terms it is one of the more accomplished flavours in the selection.
An 18 plus item. Younger buyers will not be served.
